Dani and Jeremy’s wedding at Queen Elizabeth Park brought together the beauty of an outdoor Vancouver wedding with the traditions and celebrations that made their day uniquely theirs. Their Jewish wedding included a ketubah signing, a beautiful ceremony beside the Duck Pond, and plenty of meaningful moments shared with family and friends. With the park’s open green space, colourful gardens, and mature trees surrounding the ceremony, it was a beautiful setting for a wedding that felt both traditional and personal.
After the ceremony and portraits around Queen Elizabeth Park, everyone headed to Seasons in the Park for the reception overlooking Vancouver. The evening continued with great food, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of time for Dani and Jeremy to celebrate with the people closest to them. Having the ceremony and portraits at Queen Elizabeth Park before moving to Seasons in the Park made for a natural flow from an outdoor wedding into a lively Vancouver reception.

Bride Getting Ready
Before the ceremony, Dani spent some time inside Seasons in the Park with her mother and brother, putting the final touches on her dress and hair. What could have been a rushed part of the day turned into some genuinely sweet moments between them, with plenty of laughs and little interactions along the way. These quieter parts of a wedding day are easy to overlook, but they often become some of the most meaningful photographs to look back on.
Set Up and Groom Getting Ready
While Dani was getting ready, my second photographer was down at the Duck Pond at Queen Elizabeth Park with Jeremy, his family, and a close friend as they prepared the ceremony space. They worked together to set up the chairs and assemble the arch, giving us a chance to capture the behind-the-scenes work that went into creating the ceremony. Once everything was ready, he was also able to photograph some of Jeremy’s own getting-ready moments, giving both sides of the story the same attention before everyone came together for the ceremony.
First Look & Ketubah Signing
Before the ceremony, Dani and Jeremy took part in their ketubah signing surrounded by family and loved ones. It was a meaningful part of the day, but the moment that really stood out came when Jeremy saw Dani for the first time. His reaction was priceless… his expression said everything before either of them had even said a word.
This is one of the biggest advantages of having two photographers for a wedding day. While one of us can stay with the bride and capture her entrance and the moment she comes into view, the other photographer can be focused on the groom and his reaction along with her family. Those two perspectives happen at exactly the same time, and having both means neither side of that moment has to be missed.
The Guests Arrive
As guests began arriving at Queen Elizabeth Park, the ceremony space at Queen Elizabeth Park quickly started to fill with family and friends. There was a relaxed excitement in the air as everyone found their seats, caught up with one another, and prepared to watch Dani and Jeremy get married.
The Ceremony
Dani and Jeremy’s ceremony beside the Duck Pond at Queen Elizabeth Park was emotional, joyful, and completely full of their personalities. Alongside the more traditional Jewish elements, there was the excitement of the ketubah, the breaking of the glass, and the unmistakable eruption of “MAZEL TOV!” that followed. Their first kiss brought plenty of smiles, and their walk back down the aisle turned into a genuinely fun celebration as family and friends cheered them on. It was the kind of ceremony that moved naturally between heartfelt and happy-go-lucky, which made it especially fun to photograph.
For me, these are the moments that make wedding photography about more than simply documenting what happened. The tears, laughter, reactions from family, the split-second expressions, and the energy of everyone celebrating together are what bring the photographs back to life. With Queen Elizabeth Park providing such a beautiful Vancouver backdrop, Dani and Jeremy had a ceremony that felt intimate, personal, and unmistakably theirs.
Family & Friend Photos
After the ceremony, we took some time for the important family photographs, making sure Dani and Jeremy had those classic posed portraits with the people closest to them. They also wanted plenty of photographs with their friends and guests, so we kept things relaxed and captured both the larger group shots and the smaller interactions happening throughout the celebration.
Bride & Groom Portraits
We took a walk through Queen Elizabeth Park for Dani and Jeremy’s couple portraits, using the mature trees, winding paths, and lush greenery to create a variety of natural backdrops. Dani’s unique sunflower bouquet added a beautiful pop of personality to the photos and stood out against all the greenery. With so much variety right around the Duck Pond, Queen Elizabeth Park is a great Vancouver wedding photography location for couples who want beautiful portraits without spending the day travelling between spots.
Reception & Dinner
After their portraits around Queen Elizabeth Park, Dani and Jeremy headed to Seasons in the Park for their reception, where the huge windows brought in beautiful views over Vancouver. The setting works especially well for wedding photography because the view0 changes throughout the day, from the city stretching out below in the afternoon to the Vancouver skyline lighting up after dark. The speeches were full of emotion and laughter, while the incredible food, attentive staff, and relaxed atmosphere made it easy for everyone to settle in and celebrate.
Their cake was another personal touch, made by a close friend and, according to everyone who tried it, absolutely delicious. With the combination of great food, a beautiful Vancouver view, and so many meaningful moments with their family and friends, Seasons in the Park was a fantastic setting to finish the day.
Party Time!
Once the formalities were over, the party really got going. With an upbeat DJ, a packed dance floor, and plenty of energy from their family and friends, there was no shortage of moments to photograph. The traditional Jewish chair lifting for both Dani and Jeremy was a definite highlight, with everyone getting involved and the celebration reaching another level.
Dani and Jeremy specifically wanted lots of party and dancing photos, so this was a big part of the evening for us to focus on. From the wild dance floor moments to the laughter, reactions, and celebrations happening around it, there was plenty of energy to capture and plenty of photographs that show just how much fun their wedding was.
