Matthew and Kaydence’s “Raincouver” proposal took place just before Christmas, with rain coming down and winter settling into Vancouver. Matthew had already decided that this was the moment, come what (weather) may, and when the time feels right, you just go for it! He wanted to propose somewhere that meant something to them, a spot they often walked together hand-in-hand with a beautiful view of Vancouver in the background. Charleson Park in the Fairview neighbourhood gave them exactly that, overlooking False Creek with the city skyline.

Despite the rain, the moment itself was full of warmth. Matthew got down on one knee, and Kaydence said yes immediately!

After the proposal, we explored Charleson Park and the nearby waterfront for their engagement photos, making use of the city views, False Creek, and the harbour as the evening light began to fade.
