Bloedel Conservatory Wedding — Mel & Ben
If you’re wondering whether a micro-wedding can still feel completely unique and memorable, the answer is yes! Mel and Ben’s intimate Vancouver wedding brought together their closest family, an officiant, and one of the city’s most unusual wedding venues. Their ceremony took place inside Bloedel Conservatory beneath its iconic glass dome, surrounded by exotic plants, colourful flowers, and free-flying birds. It was intimate and personal, but the setting gave the day a sense of occasion that was anything but small.
After the ceremony, we headed outside into Queen Elizabeth Park for couple’s portraits, trading the tropical atmosphere of Bloedel Conservatory for gardens, mature trees, winding paths, and beautiful views across Vancouver. Having both locations together gave us plenty of variety without needing to travel between venues.
From a unique Bloedel Conservatory wedding ceremony to relaxed portraits throughout Queen Elizabeth Park, Mel and Ben’s micro-wedding was small by design, full of character, and centred around the people who mattered most.
